We are planning to celebrate Jesus Day on Saturday, May 19th 2012 at Court House Park by serving a free community breakfast, providing a time of worship with the band Audience of One, followed by a police-escorted Walk for Christ through the main streets of Cortland. Earlier this year 38 churches participated in the walk and there were decentralized service projects throughout the community. Next year, we are also planning to invite all Christian churches and Christian faith-based non-profit service organizations to display how they serve the community year round and to bring their worship teams to display the kind of worship music that is played during their weekly services.
This day is celebrated in over 450 cities throughout the United States.
